      Sustainability

Onward seeks to support commercial fleets and private consumers in achieving measurable decarbonisation through dependable, high-capacity EV charging infrastructure engineered for operational excellence. Our solutions prioritise renewable energy sourcing, intelligent load management, and data-driven optimisation to ensure maximum uptime and predictable performance.

Via integrating seamlessly with fleet workflows and delivering long-term cost efficiency, we enable organisations to meet sustainability commitments. We will align our climate reporting with the TCFD framework, ensuring clear governance, robust risk assessment, and transparent metrics.

Climate considerations inform our strategy as we expand reliable, 100% renewable-powered EV-charging infrastructure that supports the transition to low-carbon transport. We will evaluate both transition and physical climate risks across our network and integrate these into planning, investment decisions, and operational resilience.

We will track key indicators such as renewable-energy usage, charger efficiency, and emissions avoided for customers, and we are committed to continuous improvement as climate expectations and regulations evolve.

      Governance

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of corporate governance as we scale our EV-charging infrastructure. Our decision-making is guided by transparency, accountability, and rigorous risk management to ensure long-term value creation for our investors, partners, and customers.

We operate with clear oversight structures, robust financial controls, and disciplined compliance processes that align with industry best practice and emerging regulatory frameworks.

By embedding governance excellence into every aspect of our operations, from safety and procurement to data integrity and stakeholder engagement, we build trust, strengthen resilience, and position our business for sustainable growth in the rapidly evolving clean-transport sector.

      Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

We are committed to building an EV-charging network that reflects and serves the full diversity of the communities and organisations we support. Our business practices prioritise equitable access, inclusive design, and fair opportunity. 100% of our charging bays will provide disability access.

We actively foster a culture where every employee, customer, and stakeholder is respected, heard, and empowered to contribute. By embedding DE&I principles into our operations and decision-making, we deliver charging solutions that strengthen our clients’ ESG performance, support diverse fleet workforces, and help create a more inclusive transition to low-carbon transport.

As part of this wider goal, we will seek to ensure a minimum 99% network availability (charger up-time) in line with industry best practice.

      Privacy

This notice explains what personal data Onward collects through this website, why we use it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. Last updated: 17 October 2026.

      Who we are

This website is run by Onward Ultra-Rapid Charging Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17215326. Its registered office is 33 Cavendish Square, 14th Floor, London W1G 0PW.

Onward Ultra-Rapid Charging Limited is the controller of the personal data that this notice describes. For any question about your data, write to pdonnelly@onwardev.co.uk.

      What we collect

      • Only if you choose Accept on the cookie bar: a record of each page you view. It holds the page's address, the site you came from, the campaign source named in the link you followed, a broad device type and how long the page was in view. With the first page you view on a day, it also holds one word, new or returning: whether your browser was counted here on an earlier day.
      • With each page view, a visitor code. We make it from your IP address and your browser's details, mixed with a random value that changes every day, by a one-way calculation. We do not store the IP address with the page view.
      • To stop abuse, we count requests against a one-way code made from your IP address. A record of a technical error can include the IP address of the request that failed.
      • If you contact us by email or by phone: your name, your contact details and what you tell us.

      Cookies and similar storage

We set no cookies when you visit this website. Your browser keeps up to three things in its local storage: your answer to the cookie bar, any accessibility settings that you choose and, only if you choose Accept, the date of your last visit. None of them is sent to us. From that date your browser works out the word new or returning, and only that word comes to us with the first page you view on a day. You can change your answer at any time with the Cookie settings button at the foot of every page. If you choose Decline, the date is deleted.

A press article can include a video or a post from YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn or X. That content loads from the other service when you open the article, and that service can set its own cookies.

      How we use it

      • To see how the website is used. We add page views up into daily totals per page, and count new and returning visitors per day. Lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with Cookie settings.
      • To answer you. We use your contact details and your message to reply to an enquiry. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us.
      • To keep the website secure. We count requests to stop abuse. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the website.

      Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the companies that provide our hosting and our email, and only as far as each one needs to provide that service. We disclose personal data to an authority where the law requires it.

When you open a press article that includes content from YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn or X, your browser fetches that content from the service directly. The privacy notice of that service applies to what it does.

      How long we keep it

      • Single page views are deleted after 35 days. The daily totals identify nobody, and we keep them.
      • Counts of requests are deleted after a day.
      • We keep an enquiry for as long as we need to answer it and to deal with what follows from it.
      • We keep each nightly backup for 14 nights. Data that we delete can therefore stay in a backup for up to 14 more days.

      Where it is stored

We store this data on a server in the United Kingdom. YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn and X are run by companies in the United States. If you open a press article with their content, your browser connects to them directly.

      Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit how we use it, object to our use of it, and ask for it in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent to page view counting at any time with the Cookie settings button at the foot of every page.

To use a right, write to pdonnelly@onwardev.co.uk. A request is free, and we answer within one month.

Page view records hold no name and no stored IP address, so in most cases we cannot find the records of one visitor.

      Contact and complaints

For a question or a complaint about how we use your data, write to pdonnelly@onwardev.co.uk.

You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.
